30 years
What inspired you to start your business?
I used to manage a glass shop but had my daughter and wanted to start my own business to be able to provide a great lifestyle for her. It motivated me.
What service does your business provide for our community?
Rock chip repair in windshields 6 inches or smaller. Free through your insurance. We’re a preferred shop of most insurance companies.
What do you love the most about Shoreline?
Love the people and the community. Great food too. Very loyal customers and very friendly.
Why is your business based in Shoreline?
High population of people that need their rock chips filled. Shoreline is one of my busiest locations.
What’s one thing you wish your customers knew about you but never ask?
I thank God first for everything He’s blessed me with in my life. I love to fish bass tournaments and love traveling and seeing the world. Love sports too.
What inspires you each day?
The words my father said to me… No one owes you anything, you have to work hard and go chase your dreams and go get it yourself. Then give back to others. My father was a very successful movie producer and taught me to work for everything.
What has been your proudest moment in business so far?
Being in business for 30 years and personally having done over 150,000 cars. Probably when I filled 76 rock chips in one day by myself! I also owned a SAG/AFTRA talent agency, representing celebrity actors and launching Karan Brar to fame. He played Chirag in Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Parts 1, 2, and 3) and later starred in Jessie on Disney Channel. I also represented Corey Haim and Corey Feldman, starting my agency from Seattle all the way to Hollywood.
How do you approach customer service, and what sets you apart?
I feel my friendliness, experience, and knowledge of the industry, along with being honest and treating customers like family.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business in Shoreline?
Focus on one thing and one idea—not multiple—and go out and do it. Quit thinking about it. Go get it. It’s okay to fail; you learn and grow. If you’re passionate about what you’re doing and work hard, the sky is the limit, and you will succeed. If you do something you love, you never work a day in your life. I always thank God for the gift He’s given you and your talents.
What future plans or goals do you have for your business?
My goals have been met, having over 40 tents across Washington. Now, I want to spend quality time with family, live life, and travel.
If you could change one thing about Shoreline, what would it be?
Lower the cost of living and taxes.
